The Sartorialist

The Sartorialist
http://thesartorialist.blogspot.com/

It's about the first lesson of fashion trend analysis. You said we could take photos of people on the streets and give comments on their clothes, accessories, style and color. This web site first came to my mind.

"I always felt that there was a disconnect between what I was selling in the showroom and what I was seeing real people (really cool people) wearing in real life. "- from the blogger

" The Sartorialist was to try and shoot style in a way that I knew most designers hunted for inspiration. Rarely do they look at the whole outfit as a yes or no but they try and look for the abstract concepts of color, proportion, pattern mixing or mixed genres." - from the blogger

Designers are inspired by people on the streets and people on the streets are inspired by designers' clothes. Is there no new thing to create? Absolutely not. Every individuals will be influenced by many other factors like culture, art, family members, envirnment, social changes, etc.. And different people may have different perspectives upon the same issue. So many innovative things appear.

looking at others may boarden our views towards colour, texture, proportion, mix and match...

Fashion is without any boundary.
